In a study of the Hadza hunter-gatherers, Pontzer et al established a median macronutient intake over a certain period studied. They note that food intake varies dramatically, and meat consumption would be much higher in different seasons, which would increase protein and fat intake compared to the predominant plant intake observed during this study.
